Prophet Ibrahim to Prophet Muhammad

English2 min read

Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) plays a very important role in human history. He was brought up in an era in which people were completely ignorant of the worship of one God. His people lived for the sake of the material things in the world. Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was chosen by Allah to bring back the knowledge of Tawhid. He received fierce opposition from his people, even from his own father, and he had to leave his home. Once he was put into a fire, but Allah save him from any harm. Prophet Ibrahim is considered the father of all monotheistic faiths.

Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) was also brought up in surroundings alien to Islam and the worship of one God. He had to encounter the pharaoh of Egypt, who was considered to be a god by his people. Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) faced many obstacles and overcame them all with the help of Allah. His life is an example of how oppression, tyranny and injustice on earth can be defeated.

Prophet Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) was also sent to the Children of Israel to revive and purify the teachings of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him). He is not the founder of Christianity as it appears in the world today. Sources prove that Paul, who had never seen the Prophet Isa invented the religion of Christianity. The fundamental change made to the original teachings of Prophet Isa was the addition of the concept of Trinity, ‘Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.’ Other concepts such as ‘original sin’ were also added.

In Arabia, a prophet was raised for the whole of mankind and not just for a particular group or nation as the previous prophets were raised. The religion the he was give was Islam. He was made a prophet for the entire human race. His name was Muhammad ibn Abdullah (peace be upon him), the last and final messenger of Allah. No other person in human history has left so deep faith (in God) on the life of his followers as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His life is best example to follow.
